Biography

Drew Steffen oversees commercial real estate endeavors for McNair Interests.

He was previously the Managing Director and Head of Dallas-Fort Worth Commercial Real Estate at Hines. During his decade-long tenure, Steffen oversaw the company’s development and acquisition activity in Dallas/Fort Worth, including as Project Officer for a 39-story, ultra-luxury residential tower, a 135-acre mixed-use master-planned development and numerous Class AA high-rise office towers in Dallas and Houston.

Prior to joining Hines, Steffen was an architect with Pelli Clarke Pelli Architects, where he worked on large-scale, mixed-use developments in Las Vegas, Singapore and Milan.

Steffen’s early career included real estate management for Target Corporation, design architecture with HAS Architecture for a Johns Hopkins healthcare village in Istanbul and construction management with Jensen Design Build, LLC. He also founded a 3D visualization business.

He is a Registered Architect in Texas, as well as a LEED Accredited Professional. Steffen serves on the Advisory Board of Every Village and is a founding Board Member of Classical School of Dallas. Steffen is a former Board Member of The Real Estate Council in Dallas and Downtown Dallas, Inc., and a former member of Scenic Houston’s Executive Committee.

Steffen earned both a Master of Business Administration and Master of Architecture from Yale University after graduating with salutatorian honors from Iowa State University with a Bachelor of Architecture.
